Blog hop #45

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop!

If this is your first time here, welcome! And if you've landed here after visiting the lovely Stampin' with Sharon, welcome!

Just follow along with the link at the bottom of this post to the next participant.

This month we made our creations using a colour challenge. And the colours we were challenged to use were, Real Red, Tahitian Tide and Crushed Curry.

A bright and bold selection called for a bright and bold card.

So I looked to the annual catalogue for inspiration...and found it on page 61.

And this is what I created.

Now this card was super simple to create. I used a Basic Black card base. I then trimmed the 3 coloured pieces of cardstock to slightly different sizes, I just "eye-balled" it, to work out what would balance best on the card. I then ran them through my cut and emboss machine using the 3D Stripes embossing folder and adhered them to the card base. Next up I used some offcuts of the coloured cardstock to make 'paper ribbon' (which involves manipulating the paper until the fibres separate, lots of fun!)

Then I used the "Big Hooray" stamp set (159128) and stamped the "Hooray!" on black cardstock and heat embossed it in white. (You could totally just stamp onto cardstock if you didn't want to heat emboss) and I did the same for the background by using vellum and again white heat embossing. And then adhered them and popped them up on dimensionals.

For the final bit of fun, I added some Matte Decorative Dots (156289) in red and yellow, and a few Opal Rounds (154289) for a bit of sparkle.

This was a fun card to make.

We hope you enjoy hopping along with us, and find a little time to be inspired to create something of your own.

And don't forget...if you'd like to place an order or get a copy of the annual catalogue and mini catalogue into your hot little hands, I'd be very happy to help you out.

Blog hop #41

Hi everyone and thanks for joining us for another Stampers Anonymouse Blog Hop this month.

This time around we are playing with this sketch.

And here is my take on it.

I have used Just Jade cardstock, along with the Shimmery White cardstock. Which is ideal for watercolouring. But before watercololouring, I stamped the feathers with versamark ink and clear embossed them.

I love the effect it creates, and each one is totally unique!

A bit more stamping, some fussy cutting and a couple of sparkly embellishments and you've got yourself a lovely card, which is a piece of art in itself!

The stamp set I used is called Tasteful Touches, along with the co-ordinating die set.

If you'd like to purchase any of the items I have used, please shop my online Stampin' Up! store.

Hope you like it, and thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,

Manda xo

Don't forget to follow the hop for more inspiration!

Nuts & Bolts....about you!

With today being Valentine's Day, I thought I would share with you a few of the cards I made the other day.

I am actually taking part in a sketch challenge set by the wonderful Nikki Stalker (one of the members of the Stampers Anonymouse team I am part of)
And here is the sketch I had to work with.

I am late to the party to participate in the blog hop, because I couldn't get my blog to work. But my hubby came to the rescue and sorted it out for me. Yay!

I absolutely adore this super cute stamp set!
And it has many uses, not just for Valentines Day, I have actually made some cute birthday cards with it too. I may share those with you soon.

I have used the Nuts & Bolts stamp set, the new Hive 3D embossing folder, some white heat embossing and some Stampin' Blends to colour in my little robot friends, and the fabulous Pattern Party DSP (designer series paper), which to be honest, I simply can't get enough of. I have used it in SO many projects lately.

Hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day!

Blog Hop #011

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous blog hop. This month we have used a sketch as our starting point.

And here is what I came up with.

I've used the Beautiful Friendship stamp set. Along with Gray Granite cardstock as my base.
I've stamped the first layer of Gray Granite with the Birch background stamp using white craft ink, then sponged over some more ink to soften the look of the Gray Granite.

Then I layered a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock, which I have embossed using the Subtle embossing folder, and then distressed the edges.

I've then stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Old Olive, Balmy Blue and Rococo Rose inks.

All topped off by a little bit of my favourite linen thread. I can never get enough of this stuff!

Hope you've enjoyed my card, please hop along with us...now you're headed over to the gorgeous Sharon Wilson

See you next time!

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #009

Hello and welcome to our 9th team blog hop!

You've probably popped in here to my blog via the blog of the fabulously creative Nikki Stalker....so a very big welcome to you! So glad you are here and hopping along to see all the gorgeous creations from my fellow team members.

This month we were inspired by colour....5 colours to be precise!

This was a REAL challenge for me. I must admit that I found it quite difficult to add in the Basic Grey.

Here is my take on the challenge.

It was the first time this stamp set has seen ink, and I think I'm really going to love using it.

I used the no line water colouring technique. Where you stamp in a lighter colour (I used Sahara Sand) and then using inks and an aqua painter to water colour the stamped image.

I also sponged the base layer of Basic Grey with a tiny bit of the Whisper White craft ink. This just helped to 'soften' the colour off a bit. You can just see the slight difference to the Basic Grey circle, which has the sentiment heat embossed on it, and they little torn strip of Basic Grey which is sitting on top of the Sahara Sand DSP (don't you just love that gingham!)
And all topped off with a little pop of Grapefruit Grove grosgrain ribbon.

Now "hop" on over to the fabulous and lovely Melissa Gifford to see what she has created this time around.

And if you want to pop back to see Nikki's work again...

Thanks for stopping by!

Global Design Project #162

I'm back again...after a couple of weeks of not participating in the Global Design Project challenge, I finally had chance this week to join in.

So here is the sketch.

And here is my take on the sketch challenge.

I made a little gift bag using our gift bag punch board, which I then embossed using our new Subtle embossing folder. As the name suggests, it gives a subtle effect, but I do love a bit of texture, so it was an easy sell for me!

Contact me if you are in Australia and would like to place an order.

Until next time!
